Entzian Custom Deck: Tracy's Landing, Maryland

At just over 1,300 square feet, the Entzian deck is certainly on the above average size. However, it’s the details in this all low maintenance deck that make it truly a work of art.
Located in Tracy’s Landing, MD, Mr. and Mrs. Entzian wanted an outdoor living space without compromise. The deck portion of this project would feature a large 20x14 Open pavilion with a custom decking inlay that Mrs. Entzian designed. Framing this pavilion are twin staircases to the left and right, both with 45 “Kite” landings and 2 rise step flairs, truly welcoming you to the back yard.
Also on the deck is a custom hot tub surround, with three steps leading up to the top of the spa. To the left and right of the surround are two cabinets housing the AV equipment, both of which are capped with granite. Farther past the hot tub, you will find a 12x12 screened gazebo, providing the Enzians with a reprieve from the inspects. The decking surface was constructed with Trex Brasilia decking (Burnished Amber) with a two board picture frame done with Trex Brasilia Cayenne deck boards. The rails for this deck are all Trex Artisan with Black Deckorator balusters.
To complete the custom look, the Entzians requested a custom bench with planter boxes and Deckorator Fleur De Lis centerpieces for the Rails. Both the pavilion and the Gazebo feature lighting and ceiling fans.
The lighting scheme is then continued below the deck where 4 additional ceiling fans and LED ceiling lights were used to finish off the look of the DrySnap ceiling.
Finally, the space underneath the gazebo was walled in, again using Trex Brasilia Burnished Amber trim, providing additional storage space, without have to build a separate shed.
